Othmar Cueni

After completing his apprenticeship in business, Othmar Cueni continued his education in a wide variety of fields: Marketing and PR, Human Resources and especially Banking and Management. He attended the London Business School and the Harvard Business School, among others. For 35 years, he held various positions at Credit Suisse in Basel, Bern, Geneva and Zurich, most recently at the rank of Managing Director. He served as Head of Marketing and PR, Head of Human Resources, Head of Staff, Head of Overall Bank Projects, Head of the Northern Switzerland Region and Head of the Private Banking Institute & Region Switzerland of the CS Business School. From 2008 to 2014, he was a member of the Executive Board of Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank, overseeing retail and private banking as well as all branches. He retired at the age of 62 to have more time for his hobbies. Since then he has been involved as president of “Wanderwege beider Basel” and works part-time as a freelance consultant for UpConsult. He has been on the board of Tareno AG since 2016.
